- At the present time the Choir has 25 active members.
- The annual cost of membership is £50 per year, plus single payments of £25 and £13 for the Choir Jacket and Tie.
- We meet at Woolsery Community Centre, every Tuesday evening between 8:00 & 9:30 p.m.
- Yes, the Choir sings music that has four male voice parts, 1st Tenor, 2nd Tenor, Baritone and Bass.
- As our name suggests, the Choir gives concerts in the Torridge area, which is North Devon extending into North Cornwall. Concerts are also given further afield at specially selected venues.
- The Choir may perform 20 - 30 concerts during the course of one year, but the frequency and actual number is variable.
- Torridge Male Voice Choir is open for men of all ages to join. We particularly wish to encourage younger members.
- In the past, Torridge Male Voice Choir has sung in competitions, although at the present time we are not.
- It does not matter what type of voice you have. Come to a rehearsal and try out; we will help you to decide the range that best suits your voice.
- It does not matter that you do not have a strong or powerful voice. The beauty of sound that comes from a male voice choir comes from many voices singing in harmony together. With regular use your voice will improve, as will your range.
- Torridge Male Voice Choir actively encourages wives and partners to support and accompany us to concerts. For example we have an annual family dinner and every year the Choir spends an interesting weekend away at a nice location to relax and sing at a concert.
